Lifting of COVID-19-related restrictions for entry into Germany since 11 June 2022:

All COVID-19-related restrictions for entry into Germany have preliminarily been lifted. Currently, travel from Myanmar to Germany will be permitted for all travel purposes (including tourism and visits). For entry into Germany no proof of vaccination, recovery or testing is required any longer.

Visas as required for entry into Germany may be applied for for all travel purposes. Due do expected higher demand, delays may occur in the processing of visa requests.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Myanmar citizens require a visa to enter Germany and the Schengen states for short term stays of up to 90 days.

The Embassy only issues visas to applicants living in Myanmar. Myanmar citizens living outside of Myanmar have to apply at the competent German mission in their country of residence.

You can also print the application form and fill it out by hand.

Use the correct information checklist (see below) to compile all relevant supporting documents

FURTHER ADVICE:

Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months after your intended departure from the Schengen area and contain at least 2 consecutive empty pages.

You may submit your application up to 6 months before, and should do it at least 15 days prior to your intended travel date.

You do not have to apply in person if your fingerprints have already been taken for a previous Schengen visa application within the last 59 months.

Please do NOT provide digitally altered passport photos (No Photoshop!)
